Gary Graham: Looking Back to Look Forward

This 2021 Hancock Shaker Village Installation featured original Gary Graham garments inspired by the Shakers’ traditional cloaks. Gary created several versions of his cocoon coat using historic fabrics, engaging with history as a present day lived experience.

Gary Graham: The Conversation

In 2015 the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA presented Gary's collaboration with artist/composer Meredith Monk. Recasting her iconic 1979 recording Bird Code within an installation of the Peabody's historic furniture and textiles the show featured Gary Graham garments inspired by both Monk's composition and pieces from the museum's collection.

Thistle Hill Weavers & GaryGraham422 Lincoln Jacquard collaboration

This 2019 version of Thistle Hill Weavers' historic Lincoln jacquard was made to Gary's specifications in black cashmere and alpaca, with an altered weft, for use in a limited run GaryGraham422 collection.

Pollack X GaryGraham422 textile collection

For this 2018 collaboration with NYC textile studio Pollack Associates, Gary Graham created an upholstery fabric collection inspired by three Rhode Island historical landmarks. Click to read more about the collection at the Pollack Associates site.
