Knit and tulle dress

Last year, I went to Lima to work with Giselle Tirado at Innovative Knitwear to develop new knitwear pieces. I had been thinking about combining and felting alpaca with tulle- inspired by the crinoline dress- a more cozy version for the holidays but could also be worn formally. The challenge for me is moving from the more abstract, experimental phase of developing swatches, as you can see below, to the final piece.
 I got to shoot the final dress inside the John Ward house while I was at the Peabody Essex Museum, with model Abi Hassan.
