Tnumarya's Object Lessons of The Old Manse uses several inspirations from the historical house in Concord, MA that I have been studying for over a year now. Bracket is one of the objects that Tnumarya uses to "teach" what it means to support or be supported. To bring light to what one would "display" on a shelf or not. She used these objects to start conversations.

The bracket sweater in alpaca and merino wool uses the graphic image the bracket makes when mirrored and outlined.It might look like a face to some studying it or an imaginary protector.
